The Surrey Heritage Awards Ceremony 2019 will take place at West Horsley Place on Wednesday 27 March by kind permission of Mr Bamber Gascoigne and the Mary Roxburghe Trust. The biennial Awards, organised by Surrey Historic Buildings Trust, recognise ‘Best Practice’ in historic building conservation in Surrey.
Among the heritage properties in the running for the top trophy are several timber-framed buildings dating back over five hundred years – including Manor Cottage in Shere, Sunt Farmhouse in Oxted, Yew Tree Cottage in Dockenfield and the Lythe Hill Hotel in Chiddingfold – as well as an unusual seventeenth-century granary at Parklands Farm in Ockley and the eighteenth-century gates of Oatlands Park, Weybridge.
